My April SheetLoad card

Ever since I found SheetLoad of Cards, I think I have downloaded most of their ezines. They all include a cutting guide for making several cards with the same layout which helps save cardstock! Plus they give dimensions for just one card. And the cards that are showcased are absolutely amazing!! If you haven't been over there to check it out, I would suggest you make a point to visit!
This card uses Whimsical Wedding from The Angel Company. I colored with my Prismacolor pencils and added Dazzling Diamond glitter to the bride's dress. Also added some pretty flowers with clear crystal brads for a bit of bling. Thanks for looking!!

Few More Cards...

These are some cards that I've recently finished and wanted to share...
This first one uses a layout I found at Mojo Monday and an image from The Digi Shack.  I just love this little dragon!  She was colored with Prisamcolors and blended with Gamsol (this is my favorite coloring method).  Cardstock was from my stash.

This card uses an image from Grab-A-Doodle-Do called Lilly.  Isn't she adorable in her little ballerina outfit??  My daughter said "Mom, she looks like me!"  One thing is for sure ... my Lilly loves to dance so this would fit her.

The Digi Shack had this cherry blossom as a freebie on their "grand opening" day so I used it here.  I love the colors pink & green together.  Also added Dazzling Diamond glitter to make the blossoms pop.

Thanks for stopping by to look!!

Blue Hummingbird

This card uses a hummingbird digi-stamp that I found on Squigglefly and colored with Prismacolors and blended with Gamsol.  Then I added some Dazzling Diamond glitter to the wings just to add a little sparkle.  Added the 2 flowers and attached with a crystal brad.  The layout came from Mojo Monday blog.

I really like how this one turned out!!

My first "bow"...

Hehehehe... I'm so proud of myself!!  I tied my first bow on a card!  I can tie my shoes but I could NOT get a bow that I liked tied on a card until now.  I'm sure you are laughing at me but that's fine because it means you are reading my blog, lol.
Here are the details:
Paper: white Georgia Pacific, green from stash
Flower: Fred, She Said
Sentiment: Digiments
Embellishments: white ribbon from stash; purple stickles

Pink & Green

Today I was on a Pink & Green color combination!

This first card was made for the weekly sketch found on The Fresh Batch, here. The image is a digi-stamp from Grab-A-Doodle-Do called Lilly. I love this image! Be sure to head over there to see all of Sally-Ann's designs ... after you finish reading mine, lol!

This second card was made for a challenge I found over at Prairie Paper & Ink, here. I stamped the background with Pink Versacolor ink. The image is from The Digi Shack, called Fairy Godmother. Isn't she adorable?? The sentiment on the left side says Make a Wish. I added Dazzling Diamond glitter to her wings and wand.

I think I'm also going to enter my Fairy Godmother into the challenge over on Dare U 2 Digi-Stamp. Thanks for looking!!

My first challenge entry for ...

Kitchen Sink Stamps. This week has a special Guest Hostess, Makiko, and her challenge was to create a card or project using monochromatic colors. This was a challenge for me.
The layout I used came from i(heart)2stamp, found here. I used a digi-stamp from Sketching Stamper called Daisy Crazy. The sentiment is from The Angel Company called Thanks For (which I believe has been discontinued). The orange paper (double-sided) is from my stash. I also added Dazzling Diamond glitter for a little "bling". Let me know what you think!!

Bling Bling

Here is my entry for the most recent challenge on Dare you to digi stamp, found here. I have gotten into the digi-stamps and I must say that I really really enjoy using them!! Their challenge was to add bling and I think I accomplished that with this card.

I hope you can see how shiny this card is because I think it is stunning in real life! This card uses the Arum Lilies found here. I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter from Stampin' Up to the lilies. The metal sheet is embossed with Swiss Dots using the Cuttlebug. I don't remember where I found the metal sheets but if I remember, I'll be sure to post the link.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #27

Below is my card for challenge #27 posted on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge blog. When I first saw the color challenge, I wasn't sure what I would do. Then I found this adorable monkey digi-stamp here and knew what I was going to do.

Instead of taking a picture like I normally do, I thought I would try to scan this one in. It didn't turn out too bad but I think in the future, I'm going to keep taking pictures.

Stamps: Monkey from Dustin Pike; paper and ribbon from stash.

Cards from older challenges...

I didn't get these two cards made in time to be entered into the challenges but wanted to show them to you.

The first one is Lilly from Grab-A-Doodle-Do. I really enjoy the digi-stamps and I think this one is my favorite (reason ... my little girl is also Lilly). Pink & green are springy colors and I am so ready for spring to stay here! The challenge was posted on Prairie Paper & Ink, found here. I had to modify the image to fit my card base but I think it turned out ok.
This second card layout came from High Hopes Rubber Stamps, Challenge #25. The little sheep is from The Angel Company. I think I will send this one to my mom because she loves sheep! Thanks for looking!!

Marshmallows and Chocolate

That's the name of the recent challenge posted on Cute Card Thursday, found here. Pink & brown have become very popular colors together. Here is my card...
The image is from Stamping Bella and is called grumpabella. The sentiment is from The Angel Company from the set called Working Women. I thought the phrase fit. Bella is colored with Prismacolor pencils. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I apologize for the blurry picture (that is still something I need to work on).

Better late than never, lol!

I'm uploading 2 card that I just finished. One is from Stampabella for St Patrick's Day. I love how the pink & green turned out. The second one is a digi-stamp from here for Easter.
Thanks again for looking!!

Mojo Monday Challenge

I found this challenge blog a few weeks ago and have entered a couple cards. Here is my most recent card for Sketch #81, found here.
The little girl stamp is Penelope from Pollycraft (I seem to like using their digi-stamps). I also seem to like using puple. Thanks for looking!!

First Attempt at Acrylic

I'm posting pictures of my first attempt at an acrylic album.

I bought the kit to do it at home from Remember This in Mexico, MO (if you live close, you really ought to check out their store). The pictures are a little fuzzy and I apologize for that. Now I need to figure out what to do with it, lol!

Another Challenge Card...

Here is a card that I created for the challenge posted on Dare U 2 digi-stamp.

I have really enjoyed using the digi-stamps! The image used here came from Sketching Stamper and it's called Daisy Crazy. I added Dazzling Diamond glitter to make the flowers pop on this simple but elegant looking card (not sure if you can see it on the picture). Let me know what you think!!

Busy, Busy, Busy...

I spent the afternoon working on some cards that I've been trying to finish. This first one is another digi-stamp that I found here. I absolutely love this flower! The colors in the picture really don't do it justice.

This second card is from the same company, but colored just a little different. My hubby says it needs some "bling" and I have to agree so I will see what I can do.

This little boy is for a challenge found on Splitcoast Stampers and over at Papertake Weekly. He is a digi-stamp from Pollycraft. At first I wasn't really impressed with my coloring on him but when I paired him with the different shades of green, I think he turned out pretty good.

This last card is also a combination of two challenges, Mojo Monday and Papertake Weekly. The little girl is Penelope from Pollycraft. There are lots of different colors used and I'm happy with how she turned out.

I really need to organize a little better so I can give you more information on these designs. Before I started attempting challenges, my stamps and ink and paper were just organized the best I could. Reading over other blogs, they are more detailed about the type of paper and ink than I am. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be happy to hear them!! Thanks for reading!

Some More Cards

These are some cards that I've had made for awhile.

The first one is a Black & White wedding card using Whimsical Wedding from The Angel Company. Also, the black background and the bottom of the card under the black & white ribbon uses the Swiss Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug. There is white mulberry paper behind the main layered image. The inside of the card reads "Wishing You A Whimsical Wedding".

The second one is a Pink & White wedding card using the same set as above from The Angel Company. The left side of the card also uses an embossing folder called Just My Type.

The last card has to be my favorite of these 3 cards. Anyone who knows me knows that I love cows!!! :) This set is called An' Udder Birthday from The Angel Company. The card idea came from this template to make it a gift card holder. Isn't it cute? I'm going to send it to Jan Tapler for her Blogoversary Challenge. You can find those details here. Please go check out what she is doing with all the cards she receives because it's for a really great cause!
